Belly to Baby Guide - General FAQs

WHAT MAKES THIS GUIDE SPECIAL?
•    It includes a beautiful online version of the guide with live links and sharing tools.
•    It is distributed throughout many local hospitals, obstetric and midwifery practices, local gathering spots and many of the businesses in the guide.
•    It is used by the participants in the guide and many other businesses as a referral resource in their own practices.
•    The guide is paired with our newest program, The Belly to Baby Club, a discount program that acts as an incentive for families to try the services listed in the guide and broaden their awareness of what is available.
•    It is referenced weekly on our Facebook page with over 1200 subscribers.
•    We offer extremely accessible pricing on ads – hundreds of dollars less than similar publications – because our goal is promoting awareness about the diverse services in our community.  For the first time this year there are sponsorship opportunities for businesses that are able to invest at higher levels.

  FAQs
•    We plan to print 7000 copies (up 2000 from last year) to be distributed all over Southern Maine with the highest concentrations in Greater Portland.  York County/Seacoast, Midcoast, Lewiston and Bridgton areas are additional smaller hubs.
•    The guide is a nonprofit endeavor.  All proceeds are invested in printing, designing and distributing the guide.  Every dollar you pay in advertising or sponsorships means a Southern Maine family will have a copy of the guide.  Sponsorships are available for the first time this year to help keep the guide affordable and comprehensive.
•    Check out last year's edition for ideas and inspiration about how to create your directory listings or ad
•    The guide should include listings for any business providing a service or product to new and expectant families.  We also have a section called Family Friendly Businesses where businesses not directly related to pregnancy and parenting such as Realtors, Financial Advisors, Restaurants with specal kid areas, etc can advertise.
•    Ads should be submitted at the same time as your online application as an email attachment. Please include your business name in the subject line.  Acceptable file formats: pdf or high-res jpeg format. All images need to be a minimum of 300dpi. Please note that we cannot accept ads created in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, or Publisher. If you do not have an ad available in the required format, contact lm@leamoon.com (207-841-6510) and she can arrange design services for you at $45 an hour. Most reformatting is very quick and typically ad designs take an hour.
•    Call or email with any questions.  We're happy to help!
